Standard R1-1 stop signs are available in 24"x24" (minor roads), 30"x30" (standard), and 36"x36" (multi-lane and high-speed approaches) per MUTCD requirements.
Engineer Grade is suitable for lower-speed roads. High Intensity Prismatic is recommended for most applications. Diamond Grade provides maximum visibility for high-speed intersections.
MUTCD requires a minimum mounting height of 5 feet in rural areas and 7 feet in urban areas, measured from the bottom of the sign to the road surface.
MUTCD recommends pavement markings (stop line) in conjunction with stop signs, especially at signalized intersections and multi-lane approaches.
